I was granted complimentary access to One Little With by Crystal Beach as part of my participation in a blog tour for this title with Goddess Fish Promotions. Thank you to all involved in affording me this opportunity! My thoughts are my own and my review is honest.

One Little Witch is a classic “10 Little _” children’s poem. This one involves a little witch counting down her 10 pumpkins, each of which “hatches” a different Halloween-related creature. It’s cute, and I can see this being a great project read in a primary grade class. Read this to the class and then have the kids write a new page, see what comes out of their pumpkins!

The art style is cute and colourful, and seems consistent with the author’s other books about adorable polar bears. Definitely worth checking out!

About the Author

Crystal Beach is an adoptive mother and caregiver of two adoptive children who have complex medical needs and disabilities. Her children are often represented in her work as strong, caring individuals with special gifts and powers. Her writing projects are intended to ensure financial support for her children’s future.

Crystal has a B.A. in Creative Writing from the University of Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. Her focus is in children’s literature, publishing, and journalism. She has had many careers including ten years as a MedA with the Canadian Naval Reserve, advertising with a daily newspaper, communications and marketing, training as an EMT, and continued studies in developmental psychology.

She and her family live in Regina, Saskatchewan in a simple little house with two giant support

dogs.
