The Legend. The Immortal. My… Boyfriend?
You know, I really only had two goals in life:
1) Unearth the truth about vampires and,
2) Become hella famous.
Nowhere on that list did I have “die” or “get turned into a bloodsucker.” But guess what? Life doesn’t always go according to plan. Now, thanks to an unfortunate back-alley encounter, I’m the newest member of the undead country club (fangs, coffin, and all). And my savior? Sire? Whatever…
Freaking. Dracula. Himself.
Even stranger, he claims I’m his mate. Like… eternal love. But come on! I don’t have time for that. Not only do I need to track down my attempted murderer, but I also need to learn how to be a vampire. Falling in love is the last thing on my mind right now.
Too bad Dracula has other plans for me.

Excerpt
His hands found mine and he wrenched me against him. His mouth crashed against mine with a hungry growl, his tongue sweeping across my bleeding lip. Vlad groaned and tilted his head, deepening the angle as he fed from my mouth.
The instant our tongues touched, I gasped. Desire uncurled in my belly, like a cat waking from a nap, and spread through my body. I wound my arms around his neck and plunged my fingers into his hair. So soft and thick. It made me wonder about the rest of him. What would I find hidden away beneath his clothes, and when would I get the chance to find out? I wanted to unwrap him like a Christmas present, taking my time to appreciate the gift within.
Vlad’s fingers dug into my hips, and he lost himself to my mouth, ravishing me with a single kiss. I quickly learned how talented a five-hundred-year-old man was—because damn. I felt his touch everywhere, even though his hands hadn’t moved.
The man undoubtedly had skills, proven when he artfully pierced my tongue without my notice, taking from me what I’d soon be taking from him. I had to admit, I preferred his method to mine. The wrist seemed hardly as provocative now that I’d experienced this way of taking blood.
Vlad’s fangs scraped my bottom lip as he slowly drew back. We both panted for breath, his cheeks flushed with my blood. I immediately touched a hand to my tingling mouth, too stunned and aroused to speak. I’d never experienced anything like that, and I was far from a nun. I’d had my share of boyfriends—all former now. But Vlad wasn’t a boy. My exes paled in comparison to him.
“I—I….” I had absolutely no idea what to say. I sucked in a slow breath and shivered. “Damn.”
Vlad clenched his jaw tight, as though afraid to speak. Instead, he held my gaze and offered me his wrist. Veins ran beneath his flesh, pulsing with excitement. My mouth watered at the sight. If our kiss was any indication, I was in far more danger than developing a minor blood addiction. That alone should have been reason enough to pull back, thank him, and find another blood bag to choke down. But I couldn’t seem to walk away. I wanted to taste him again.
I shot him a questioning glance, and when he nodded, I cradled his arm in my hands and lifted it to my mouth. Damn, I wanted this so bad.
Correction. I wanted him so bad.
Crazy, right? I’d known the man for two nights! Well, three if you counted the night he turned me. Maybe this attraction was a vampire thing? A sire-apprentice connection? The forums last night had mentioned heightened emotions and raging hormones while our bodies adjusted. Was that all this was? Did my emotions include desire? Did I care?
These were all questions for another time.
